Afro Kinky Synthetic
Afro Kinky Human

It wasn't easy to find the 100% human hair in my city, there was only one store I could find that sold it. All of the others tried to sell me the synthetic stuff and tell me that what I wanted didn't exist (thank God for the internet) ...I KNEW what I was looking for! If you can't find 100% Human Hair in your town, there are plenty of sites to purchase from on the internet. I haven't bought any from them so I can't endorse or recommend any particular site.

| Two stand twists |
The procedure I used to install my loc extensions was simple. I started with my hair already in two-strand twists (shown above) and used the 100% human afro kinky hair to "wrap" it. When you look at this hair in the package it looks short but its just really tight. It needs to be stretched out to see it's true length. This is actually a plus because when you stretch it out as you wrap you will see how it gives a tight wrap that will hold on its own with no need to use glue or burn the ends. I wrapped my hair and it lasted 2 1/2 years!! I didn't want to lengthen my hair, I only wanted to cover my own hair, particularly the relaxed hair that wouldn't lock.
If anyone is interested in adding length to your hair, the video below will show you how to do it. You will need to braid in extra hair for length. This is NOT my own video, I found it to be a good tutorial though. In this video she also uses synthetic hair so you can see the difference.
